Who Worcester Bosch are
Worcester Bosch is the trading name of Bosch Thermotechnology Ltd, the Bosch group’s home heating business in the UK, with its head office in Worcester. It makes the Greenstar range of gas boilers along with heat pumps, cylinders and controls.
Worcester sells its boilers through trade merchants rather than direct to homeowners, and relies on independent installers to fit them. It runs an installer programme to recognise the ones it is happy to put its name to. Only accredited installers appear on its Find an Installer tool, and we are listed there as Videtta Plumbing & Heating.
The three installer levels, and where we sit
Worcester Bosch’s programme, relaunched as VAULT in September 2025, has three levels:
- Worcester Bosch Installer, the entry level.
- Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer, for trained installers who specialise in Worcester products.
- Worcester Bosch Accredited Partner, the highest level.
Videtta is an Accredited Partner. Installers move up the levels by fitting and registering Worcester Bosch products, from gas boilers to heat pumps and air conditioning, so the status reflects a track record of real installations rather than a form filled in once.
What it means for your installation
Worcester describes its accredited installers as fully trained, independent engineers who specialise in its products. In practice, for you, that means:
- Engineers who know the boiler. Fitting Worcester Bosch boilers regularly means we know the models, their controls and how each one wants installing.
- The right size for your home. We survey before we quote, because an oversized or undersized boiler costs you in comfort and in gas. Our article on why proper boiler sizing matters explains why.
- Paperwork done properly. We notify the installation through Gas Safe Register, so your Building Regulations certificate follows, and we register the boiler with Worcester Bosch so the guarantee starts.
If you are weighing up which type you need, our pages on Worcester Bosch boiler installation and Worcester Bosch combi boilers cover combi, system and conventional boilers in plain English.
Longer guarantees, and the small print
This is the benefit most people ask about. Worcester Bosch publishes its guarantee lengths by model, and when an Accredited Installer or Accredited Partner fits a qualifying boiler with any Greenstar System Filter, the longer extended guarantee applies. As published in October 2026:
- Greenstar 8000+ range: 8 years as standard, 12 years extended.
- Greenstar 4000: 7 years as standard, 10 years extended.
- Greenstar 1000 and 2000: 5 and 7 years, with no extended option.
The extended lengths are not available when the boiler is fitted with Worcester’s System Filter Micro, and Worcester can change its offers, so we confirm the guarantee for your exact boiler before you commit.
A guarantee is only as good as its conditions, and Worcester’s terms are clear. The boiler must be registered with Worcester Bosch within 30 days of installation, serviced every year by a competent, certified engineer with the service recorded, and not moved without Worcester’s written permission. Miss the annual service and Worcester can reduce or refuse a claim. When we service your boiler we record the visit, so that condition is covered, and our guide on why your boiler needs an annual service explains what the visit covers.
Is Worcester Bosch right for you?
Often, but not always, and being a Partner does not change what we tell you. We also fit Vaillant, Baxi, Potterton and Viessmann boilers, and we will recommend the one that suits your home and budget. Our guide to choosing the best boiler for your home is a good place to start.
Working safely in your home
In 2020 we signed Worcester Bosch’s Safe In Your Home pledge, a voluntary code on how installers work safely in customers’ homes. If you already have a Worcester boiler and it is showing a fault, our guide to Worcester Bosch error codes explains what the common ones mean, and our boiler repairs team can take it from there.
